Its the Family that matters

iw y
I am blest to have a wonderful wife and kids.Over the past fourteen years my life has its ups and downs.Nevertheless i always find my strength in Beniel .God has been gracious in giving me a wife that is caring and understanding.
I am not a perfect father and husband but I have a perfect God who manages to soothe the pain of failures and provides the oil of forgiveness.
Abigail is equally loving, strong willed and soulful. JJ meanwhile brings color to the family-a funny bone--the boy who loves his papa.He always manages to keep some of his loot just for his papa and I loved that. Jeremy meanwhile is my pride as a father.I loved his wit and intelligence.
Lord help me and Beniel so that these gifts of yours will grow to be just as you wanted...

Basics of Life

Its my birthday..how time really unfold.Time as they say waits for no one.As I reflect on this important day its really helps to be reminded that wherever i go , whatever I achieved in life as the wisest king who ever lived says..all is meaningless and chasing after the wind.Today I am reminded that at the end of the day when every light fades there is only one thing that matters..my relationship with Christ. In order to maintain this,I need to be an expert of one thing..the Basics of Life. Believe me it is the only thing that matters. This mastery will bring you to your destination.

We need to get back
to the basics of life
A heart that is pure
and a love that is blind
A faith that is fervently
grounded in Christ
the hope that endures for all times
These are the basics,
we need to get back to the basics of life

I need to read this again same day next year if i did good on the basics of life...

JESUS, AND SHALL IT EVER BE

I'd like to share this beautiful Poem by Joseph Grigg in 1765.I came across it way back in the 90's in one of the books of Charles Swindoll. Come read along ,the timeless words of this Poem will remind us of the reasons on why we should not be ashamed of Jesus.

JESUS, AND SHALL IT EVER BE

Jesus, and shall it ever be,
A mortal man, ashamed of Thee?
Ashamed of Thee, whom angels praise,
Whose glories shine through endless days?

Ashamed of Jesus! sooner far
Let night disown each radiant star!
’Tis midnight with my soul, till He,
Bright Morning Star, bid darkness flee.

Ashamed of Jesus! O as soon
Let morning blush to own the sun!
He sheds the beams of light divine
O’er this benighted soul of mine.

Ashamed of Jesus! that dear Friend
On Whom my hopes of Heav’n depend!
No; when I blush, be this my shame,
That I no more revere His Name.

Ashamed of Jesus! yes, I may
When I’ve no guilt to wash away;
No tear to wipe, no good to crave,
No fears to quell, no soul to save.

Ashamed of Jesus! empty pride!
I’ll boast a Savior crucified,
And O may this my portion be,
My Savior not ashamed of me!

A lesson from the Clouds

It has been years since I flew with a propeller plane. The last one was in 1994 when I visited Beniel in Baguio.I must admit that those times were different because all I wanted is to see her and just spend time with her.
Many people are actually afraid to fly with the PAL Express. It was a little bumpy especially during takeoff and touchdown. As we flew to the infinite sky I always make it a point to entrust my life to God and at least text my wife and family how much I love them. On my way up and as we glide down Ormoc , one cannot miss to see people becomes smaller and smaller and finally dissolved into insignificance compared to the largeness of infinity.Seeing this I cant help but bow my heart knowing that – that was me an insignificant person , just one among the crowds but Jesus cared and died for me. That is grace.

A Carpenter's Dream

My Dad is an accomplished Civil engineer-having dedicated his career life in working for the government. He built roads and bridges and has been a sought after Consultant until he finally retired last year. But those achievements seem incomplete until about six months ago.All these time Dad dreamed of creating his masterpiece - a round table.

As a young boy, I remember his story that after high school Daddy practiced his carpentry for three years in order to support the family. We both graduated from a Trade School but honestly to this day..I see myself as a kindergarten compared to a Dad who can always play in the big league of carpentry. I am proud to be a Carpenter's son and I am happy knowing that my Dad fulfilled his dream to build a round table for the generations to come.

JJ thinks Mom's Spaghetti is the best

Honestly I'm not so fond of Spag but not my Boy. JJ loves spaghetti ..i mean loves spag very much.Beniel told me that when JJ is still in the womb, she's having spag all day.Well i guess that the reason why. And this is the scoop--every time Mommy cooks one, JJ never fail to tell Beniel that he thinks Mom's spag is the best in town. I just smile and laugh in the inside , its not that i disagree but I felt happy to learn that my boy have grown to be thankful.

JJ is not the star of the class but I am a proud father knowing that he is emotionally stable and is trying his best to be the person that God wanted him to be. I told him once that life isn't about great achievements and honors- those are important things but the more important things are his love and faith in God .Like that simple Mom's recipe for an Antipolo blend spaghetti these values will take him safe through life because great things are built on a strong foundation.

Abigail's Graduation

I am so happy seeing my daughter march to the stage after finishing six years of hard work and fun.Antipolo Faith Christian School has been a strong and able partner in nurturing Abby's young faith .AFCS provided school curriculum based on Christian Faith and values that we uphold.

She got a bronze and I am proud of her.To my mind she's a lot smarter coz if i remember right
I landed only in the fourth place.

The road is still far but so far Abby has done great.Someday I'd be looking to a fine young lady who's guts and wit included Christian values and a formidable faith in God.

Beniel and I are more than proud of you Abby..
